Darph’s View - Blue Dragon
First off let me just say that the only reason that I bought the game was I couldn’t resist the bundle that GAME were doing when I traded up and got my elite.
Graphically this game is stunning. From the introduction and general look of the game to the smaller details like ripples in the water and the “splash effect” from your feet when running through water.
The Game is developed by Developed by Mistwalker, the studio headed by Hironobu Sakaguchi of Final Fantasy Fame, so you know that the story is going to be good. The Characters are designed by Dragon Ball artist Akira Toriyama which explains the Anime type look that the game holds and the suspense of the music was curtiousy of Nobuo Uetmasu.
Exploring a planet littered with ancient ruins, players guide the game’s characters and their shadows through a mysterious world. As the quest progresses, players can create their own attack methods or choose to focus on pre-set areas of expertise which creates the “I’ve made this person myself” feel to the game.
In total I’ve only played just over 6 hours of the game and like Final Fantasy I can’t wait to find out what happens next.
Blue Dragon in my view is just as good if not better than Final Fantasy itself.
